The Industrial media converters are designed specifically for use in extreme temperatures, providing reliable conversion from copper to fibre, fibre to fibre and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Application examples include deployments in street furniture. These can be for multimode to singlemode conversion to overcome distance limitations as well as PoE CCTV or outdoor Wi-Fi and DAS in a daisy chain. For military applications, the Industrial miConverters are small and lightweight with a low power consumption ideal of field deployments.

The 10GXT supports SFP,SFP+ and XFP transceivers enabling connections between a wide range of fibre types including CWDM to increase bandwidth capacity.

A Distributed Antenna System (DAS) is used to extend network coverage for services such as 4G. This application example illustrates how to overcome the fibre capacity challenge and transport four wireless services over a fibre link to two distinct Remote Access Units (RAU) using Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM).
